The purpose of meditation is to make our mind calm and peaceful to recognize our own inner spiritual authority. If our mind is peaceful, we will be free from worries and mental discomfort, and so we will experience true happiness; but if our mind is not peaceful, we will find it very difficult to be happy, even if we are living in the very best conditions.Meditation can be the catalyst to this happiness that seems so elusive. It can allow us to go from the head to the heart to the soul. If we train in meditation, our mind will gradually become more and more peaceful, and we will experience a purer and purer form of happiness. Eventually, we will be able to stay happy all the time, even in the most difficult circumstances.

Mindfulness practice for your everyday life - its not hard and can be a joyful experience
I know this is easier said than done, but the truth is that it can be joyful and not as hard as you would originally have thought. Mindfulness practice does not have to be done at a particular time each day such as meditation. The truth is that you can be mindful at many points during the day. A simple practice is to be thoughtful of what you consume, which comes down to several factors such as what you eat, what you say and the choices you make - what you watch or listen to.
To be mindful is to be aware of the present moment and a simple exercise that you may wish to start with is what you eat. How many times do you sit down to a hearty meal and never give a second thought to those that may be less fortunate. The upshot is that mindfulness is a way of meditating without having to set aside a time to meditate.
